How quickly we forget.

bush was informed of the fact that terrorists were ready to make a move on US soil.

In fact, an aide (can't remember who, but probably easy enough found) presented bush with a memo and then visited bush IN PERSON to deliver the very same message and what was bush's response? Paraphrasing here: You covered your ass, now get out of here.

Maybe Olbermann DOES know something and this was a way to show his disgust.

Also, please try to remember, this is the POLITICS OF FEAR postion of the Republican party.

The memo was titled "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US.", and was given to Bush along with a briefing by an unnamed CIA briefer. Andy Card was the man that whispered to Bush while he sat reading about his pet goat during the attacks of 9/11.

The Republican party has become the party of fear. They pander to cowards like PAC and Jarha by telling them scary stories and then selling them promises of fatherly safety and protection. A very old trick; find the loud mouth bed-wetters, and manipulate them into shouting down anyone that is smart enough to see through the deception. Just look at this thread to see how it works.

I caught on a bit late during his first year after reading about his show on other sites & have been hooked ever since. His viewpoints don't change like the wind or when they're not popular. I admire his ability to consistently poke holes in the repugs talking points - love worst person in the world, and of course, his periodic special comments. He just says it and the fact he arouses the ire of the righties tells me he is right on target. And, Polly, thanks for keeping up the good fight and bringing so much interesting information to discuss and share on the board.

You are buying into this right left BS. Stop falling into this trap. Normal people don't identify themselves with idealogical labels. All Oberman does is give a different segmant of society the permission to think they are more informed and better than anyone else.

I know what I saw unfold after 9-11.

I watched the important news items disappear from the wires.

I remember the reports of put options.

I remember NORAD being told to stand down while there were still "terrorists" in the air.

I remember reading from PNACs own pages that what they needed to get the American public behind the war in Iraq was another Pearl Harbor.

I also recall the news coming out that the US government knew Pearl Harbor was going to happen and allowed it to get the American public behind WWII.

I remember that a 20,000 page document called the Patriot Act was introduced days after 9-11.

I remember that the plans for the war in Iraq were already laid days after 9-11.

I remember the evidence...all of the steel from the Twin Towers being shipped off to other countries to be scrapped before any investigation could be done....knowing that there has never in history ever been any accident with an airplane that wasn't investigated by the NTSB.

I watched as two oil men were able to hold a nation and even the world enthralled by fear as they gutted the Constitution and crafted a war by lies and sent our men and women to kill and die so that halliburton and blackwater could profit.....and as Exxon, BP etc....took back over the contracts for the oil in Iraq.

Question is, how many rights have been taken from us as American's?
Freedom is word used by the political parties!
They use that word as if they own the word, yet freedoms of American's are running out fast.

Personally, I wish that ALL TV networks would air graphic footage of 9/11 EVERY September 11th as a reminder of what we lost that day--and that there are still literally MILLIONS of radical islamists around the world who pray and plot to murder as many "infidels" as possible.

They already do this, Doc. In fact one network played 9/11 from start to finish last year.

Why show the propaganda over and over again when it's all a lie?

Instead, why doesn't our friend Keith Olbermann reveal the fact that on 9/11, there was a practice fire drill at 7:30 in the morning (of course we weren't told about that) -- emptying the buildings of workers... preventing those arriving to work to go into the towers that morning...

... That means very few building workers were in the towers on 9/11... no one jumped from buildings... no planes flew into the towers.

9/11 wasn't an inside job.
9/11 WAS a media job.

When are we going to talk about that?
