I didn't watch the conventions, but I just saw this video.

It is an insincere thing to do. You can mention the country is at war, but it doesn't need to go further beyond that.

John McCain isn't some war hero from Sep 11, 2001. If that is his intended image, he will fail. People know he isn't this image.
