Out of body experiences - could this research be linked to .. MIND CONTROL?
Scientists study 'out of body experiences'
Telegraph Media Group
2008-09-19

This rings a bell with me! I had an out of body experience after falling off a ladder and being knocked unconscious. While out of my body I was looking down at myself lying on the ground with those around me. I noticed that I had lost one of me sneakers and thought how strange it was! The next two hours in hospital seemed like 5 mins but I never said anything to anyone because I thought I had just imagined it. During my next week, while recovering from a broken rib, the couple who where present at the accident came over to see how I was going. During the conversation the lady said that they couldn't understand how I lost one shoe!!!! I couldn't believe it at first and asked her to repeat herself. So it seems that I really did see myself from above and that the memory was registered and stored somewhere outside this physical body only later to be recalled by the physical brain. What fascinates me about this is that I usually would only associate eyes with seeing but I was seeing the physical world through non physical eyes!

People who report seeing bright lights or tunnels as they leave their bodies in near-death experiences are having their claims treated seriously in a hospital study.

Doctors in hospitals in Britain and the US will study 1,500 heart attack patients to see if people with no heartbeat or brain activity can have "out of body" experiences.

Some people report being able to soar out of their bodies and look down on themselves and medical staff.

The study at 25 UK and US hospitals will include doctors placing images on shelves that are only visible from the ceiling to test the theory.

Dr Sam Parnia, an intensive care doctor who is heading the study, said: "If you can demonstrate that consciousness continues after the brain switches off, it allows for the possibility that the consciousness is a separate entity.

"It is unlikely that we will find many cases where this happens, but we have to be open-minded.

"And if no one sees the pictures, it shows these experiences are illusions or false memories.

"This is a mystery that we can now subject to scientific study."

Dr Parnia said that after a cardiac arrest, where the body is technically dead, doctors restart the heart and reverse the dying process.

He said: "What people experience during this period of cardiac arrest provides a unique window of understanding into what we are all likely to experience during the dying process."

Hospitals involved include Addenbrookes in Cambridge, University Hospital in Birmingham and the Morriston in Swansea, as well as nine hospitals in the US.

Nice post! hf

The ability to 'see' and 'remember' information while outside of the body - and apparently in some cases while clinically dead - is fascinating. I think the only real conclusion one can reach is that the physical body is just a vehicle for us to experience this reality, it isn't the essence of us.

I'm looking forward to death. I will embrace it with excitement and anticipation!

I know what you mean and in many ways, I feel the same and guess what, both of us are going to get the chance to experience it!!!

I read somewhere that there is a line of scientific research that believes and is studying the theory that the mind is outside the body and that the brain is just a receiver much like a TV or radio! If this is the case and I personally believe it is, then the next logical step is - can we tap into each others frequencies and read each others minds?

Just think of such a world where everyone can read each others minds! Deceit would be impossible, crime would be impossible, using and abusing another for your own ends would be impossible!

Food for thought!

You don't need to die or seriously injure yourself to achieve this.. you don't need to become a guru either. It is actually very simple, and very easy to learn, but you do need focus, determination and patience to get the goal.

You just need to "map" your mind a bit, work out where the boundaries are for YOU, for say, awake, falling into trance, trance, sleep etc.. everyone can "sense" when their conscious state is changing. Its just a matter of probing those boundaries, and not just falling into a subconscious routine.

Thing is, you do it every night when going to sleep, but on auto-pilot. The trick is to find the button to put it back on manual hf

Thanks for this AC I have often felt that there was a link both falling asleep and waking up as well!

I have had experiences at both ends of sleep.

Here's another thought! If these scientists are right about the brain being a receiver, then it's also only a step away from controlling your thoughts! Just send the information on the right frequency and you have ........MIND CONTROL!!!

If scientists are able to successfully tap into the frequnecies that link our out of body mind and our physical brain, then what's to stop them implanting thoughts and memories? It's already been proven that under hypnosis a person can receive implanted memories that are so strong that even when told that they were implanted, the subject prefers to believe the memory as truth!

I believe this is possible to some extent, but will follow laws similar to tuning a radio set. If you finely tune the system, and what could be more finely tuned than a biological circuit integrated with a quantum system (!), it doesn't matter how powerful your enemies transmitter system is, it can not override your signals if you've tuned it precisely.

Controlling your thoughts, no. They can't control the "spark" that is you, the man in the cockpit who selects which thoughts, memories etc to experience every second. They could however import thoughts and memories into your subconscious pool/memory bank.

It will also depend on the person. Take a typical sheeple/neurotic subconscious routite type person, and it would be very easy to control them. Take someone with serious willpower, like a guru, and you will come up against a brick wall trying to control them.

This is because DMT is used as the gateway.. if you catch yourself at the moment of that burst of secretions inside your brain, you can inject your awareness into a lucid state, astral state etc.. not hijacking, just diverting what is otherwise a subconscious routine hf
