Don't listen to the twits. So long as the stores are open and the banks are operating, there is always time. Depending on which doom scenario you subscribe to, get your ducks in a row based on that timeline. If nothing happens, then you'll have a ton of useful crap to work with around the house. Personally, i'm too poor to "prepare" for anything so whatever you do you'll have one up on me. Just do the basics first - Water, food that can be stored for a long time (rice, beans, potato flakes, spices, broths, flour, yeast, other baking stuff, dried milk, etc), OTC meds and prescriptions, TP, trash bags, toothpaste, firewood (depending on where you live), salt, bleach, and a couple "items" for self defense. Just my two cents...

I purchased one last year from ebay from a seller called ebprimitives. Very reasonable price and a well made tool with enough spare parts for nearly a lifetime of use. For the price, it's a very neat little tool!! Right out of the box, I got it to make a coal on my first attempt.

Now imagine being in a depression while a flu pandemic breaks out



This means until now you have to cope with less money martial law curfews riots deseases scarcity of every essential. No food no water no protection...


Now imagine a gigantic earthquake in sanfransisco a mega tsunamie in ney york a volcanic eruption of epic proportions in the yellowstone park.

Plus we didn't even talk about a possible strike on iran terrorist nuclear and biological attacks as retaliation for the attack against iran ect.

And there you are asking how much water and food to store.

Well only one answer comes to my mind as much as you can!


Oh and i forget to talk about the coming pole shift in 2012 and WW3!

In all honesty though, if you don't survive, then the stuff is useless.

so modern meds may be the most important addition after water and food.

So when you think water think now and the future. great so you bought bottled water, how are you going to make more>? you have all these great containers, how do you pump more water? do you have the fuel and containers to boil any you find wild? ( in rivers and streams )

Fire, for cooking, heating, lighting... if it gets down to burning the trees in your neighborhood, do you have an axe? a file and stone? a saw?

Being prepared also takes a bit of knowledge....

seeing the overwhelming facts of this world, ongoing day to day and just NOW saying get prepared?

why? why panic now?

do you honestly think moving to south america is failsafe? the only countries left at this moment are Iran, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and North Korea - the only nations that don't have a Rothschild controlled bank. non nwo. south america went south american union over memorial weekend of this year.

I have most versions of fire pistons and although they are cool and will work, I wouldn't want to bet my life on one long term over a Swiss fire steel or even a steel striker and flint. Learn to make char cloth and you can strike a spark from any flinty quartz really easily with a piece of steel.

ive prepped since spring. i have wood for the wood burner stove, 130 gallons of treated water stored, 187 foods i canned(jarred), canned foods (to many to count but in the high hundreds)canned juices, boxed instant drinks, powdered and canned milk, coffee/tea, dry beans, rice, flour, yeast, cereals, we made tons of jerkey, apple and banana chips and vacuum sealed it - plus medicines, knives, batteries, small radio et al etc. we have stored 30 gallons of gas in metal tanks in the garage. we have kerosene, lamp oils, candles, warm blankets.


in the event we have to bug out, we have backpacks that have mini tents and they have pouches on the sides. we shoved ready to eat/drink vacuumed seal pkgs in them. plus other necessities.

what more can we do?
