is it not true that most of what makes sense in the koran comes directly from the bible, their only coherent story of much length is that of joseph, which is almost verbatim bible with little of substance given in addition in fact it is missing the main point of the story. Is it not true that the koran contradicts many statements in the bible, ishmael in place of isaac, jesus didn't die, no mention of the significance of the jewish prophets to israel. What the koran does not take from the bible is poor quality poetry and prayers to allah. The so-called science in the koran is pretty much non-science. If God wanted to wow us with science he could've been more explicit than he was. Most of all, the koran calls jesus and the apostles liars, yet calls jesus a prophet. Don't forget the satanic verses. Then read the hadeeth. An example of mohammed's lies is his description of the liar or the dajjal. He says he's the only one who knows of all the prophets that the dajjal would have one eye. Most definitely this is in the bible, zecheriah 11. Besides, there is no point in a dajjal (whose name comes from aramaic, the peshitta or aramaic version of the bible read by christian arabs) it is transparent that mohammed got his religion from the peoples around him and wanted to make it acceptable to the arabs by making its god the one from the top of their pantheon. Of course he also wanted to be remembered for his "contribution" to the world so he is the messenger of allah.
