Amendment 58 is a "pass thru tax". Corporations DON'T pay taxes, they pass them thru to their customers (it's an attempt by our esteemed Governor to sneak thru a 300+ Million tax increase and bypass Tabor).

I too voted against retaining ALL judges and against most of the Amendments except the gambling one; I like that the additional taxes are used for community colleges in Colorado.

The reason the 50 series amendments were "pulled" is because a group of business owners ponied up a bunch of cash and tried to "buy" the proponents off, ONLY the unions took the money and ran. The right to work folks took the high road and walked away from a lot of scratch!

The last 2 items on the ballot are for funding schools. Screw it, my kids are grown and my property taxes are high enough. Let 'em grow up to be ignorant bible beating republicans for all I care. I'll move to Montserrat and sell volcano tours.

Those oil companies have to sell their oil on the open market at market prices. If they can pass it along fine, if not, let them eat it.

Years ago I was an oil baron, ready to rape & pillage with the best of them. Glad I grew out of it.

I don't see it - all the neighboring states charge more, Colorado is still a good deal, and they'll still make money peddling the oil, just not as much. I think the "pulling out" talk is just a bluff. If Exxon pulls out, Chevron will step in.
