There are numerous methods of purification, but one of the most effective is to appeal to the Angels of the four elements

That is why we can appeal to the Angel of earth so that he may throw out all the wastes of our physical body; to the Angel of water so that he may wash our heart; to the Angel of air so that he may purify our intellect; to the Angel of fire so that he may sanctify our soul and spirit, by kindling a fire in them with the ardor of divine love."
