anything in a drugstore. My idea was exactly that, when the economy crashes, rob every drugstore/pharmacy in town. People can't live without their meds.

Sugar, Corn Meal/Mash.

Matches and lighters for starting a fire or for your smokes.

Can I buy any of this stuff with gold?

Ill be wiping my ass with leaves and won't shave again. Alcohol, marijuana seeds, and cigs will be ur top sellers. Just watch the show jericho. Salt, ammo, fuel, water, batteries and any kind of food will be in high demand.

I have some of this stuff already - bring your gold!

Cats will be worth their weight in Gold, Billy.

Needles, thread, scissors, pins, fabric...hand-sewing items.

that's just great.. the economical world crashes, our society as a whole may be destroyed (which i take immense pleasure in thinking) and you want to force people to buy their life saving meds at black market prices!

and people question why i despise humanity...

i hope you need something life saving some day.. and someone puts a nice dollar sign on that very item...

one thing to be having fun with the superfluous goods and commodities.. but life saving meds? what a jerk.. glad i am not relying on you in any way shape or form...

The .22's are still fairly cheap, but they'll be almost priceless when nobody can get them anymore.

And all the cigarettes you can afford. Smoking will come back in style big time when the telescreen goes blank and there's nothing to stare at, and no reason to want to live to be 100 years old.

If the economy crashes so will the Black market, most of these things will not be on anyone's mind. All that will matter is food, water, shelter and Survival.
Nobody will pay for stuff, it will be a fight though, just to keep what you do have.

If a family member of mine NEEDED something to survive, then I would find a way to pay for it.

You may be paid in eggs or potatoes, but I would find a way.

I agree having a stash of antibiotics is a good idea. It is safer to get them now that fight through the raiders to get them later. Apollo had a thread on this subject:
