Maybe the management of the big 3 is out of the loop, they've been making crappy cars with no resale value for years. And BTW they have already recieved 25 BILLION form the govt. this year For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. |

I am not arguing that there is no responsibility on the part of the auto boys bad judgement/dumb CEOs/padded contracts etc. but the fact remains that they were selling vehicles and at least making some attempts to lean out. What I am arguing is the statement by Dana Clueless Perino representing the head honcho. |

And BTW they have already recieved 25 BILLION form the govt. this year You might want to check your $25 bil statement out I believe that this is tied to plans to produce more fuel efficient and alternative vehicles and unless I am wrong not a cent of that has been dispensed yet. It requires plans by the automakers which then must be approved and then the money might start flowing probably 6 to 8 weeks at least. That is what the Repos are saying lets modify the requirements of this money but that may require a hell of a lot of time. Time Detroit apparently doesn't have. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 380210 ![]() 11/16/2008 08:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ford's New 65-mpg Car Not Available in US Ford's 2009 Fiesta ECOnetic goes on sale in November, but the 65-mpg vehicle only will be sold in Europe. "We know it's an awesome vehicle," said Ford America President Mark Fields. "But there are business reasons why we can't sell it in the U.S." There is your reason. Ford and GM are both 50% owned by the oil cartel through investment groups. They have a tremendous influence and therefore the automakers dont deserve another dime of our money. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 550222I thought it was a brilliant suggestion! :-) ![]() Great idea but those guys wouldn't bail out there grandmother. In the same vein hit them with a windfall profits tax and use those funds to payback the auto rescue plan. |
