I would respectfully disagree in that the demise of auto sales closely rivals the increase in gas prices culminating this summer with an astonishing about face by the automakers toward more fuel efficient vehicles. I am not arguing that there is no responsibility on the part of the auto boys bad judgement/dumb CEOs/padded contracts etc. but the fact remains that they were selling vehicles and at least making some attempts to lean out. What I am arguing is the statement by Dana Clueless Perino representing the head honcho.
