>>>VENUS appears to have DEVIATED significantly FROM ITS normal path in the sky
I just got done checking this out. Venus is supposed to be in Ophiuchus right now and then to move to Sagittarius in December. However, tonight I saw Venus where it should not be, near Jupiter in the night sky.

After investigation, Venus appears to actually be in the wrong place in the constellation of Sagittarius and is on track to head to Capricorn in December when it should be in Sagittarius then. Even the maps are screwed up online over it which marks the first time I have seen that.

What do you all make of this?

Planet positions for 2008

Planet Location map today - Click on the Venus icon and the map that will come up shows no Venus

Change the UT date on the map to show mid December and they show it arriving in Capricorn.

Am I missing something here??? This is just too weird?

Glad to get the flag out of the way. Wouldn't be a good thread without it.

As for the planet locations etc., it is not matching up with the current location. This is the first time I have ever seen that

So is the Wisconsin.edu site wrong or are they perhaps changing things site by site? This is flat out weird as I have never seen anything like it.

Even the fourmilab site has not updated all its stuff for this trajectory as the zoom function does not show Venus in that location..

3rd Day, see this thread for the answer. Check my photo links down the page a bit for what those bright faux planets are. I've been photo'ing them nightly. More like halogen lamps in the sky. UFO's

Thread: What is that extremely bright "star or planet" in the southwestern sky ? (Page 2)

Venus is right where it should be.
Im confused why you are claiming it is not supposed to be next to Jupiter.
It is supposed to leave Ophiucus November 9th and heading to Sag.

It is below Jupiter in the sky, is that not where its supposed to be.

Already in Sagittarius and projected by fourmilab to go to Capricorn. Hence my confusion [link to www.fourmilab.ch]

Not to mention that Pluto was supposed to remain in Sagittarius well past new years, but it is apparently heading for Serpens Cauda [link to www.astro.wisc.edu]
