To be a seed is to be a martyr...............

Just dawned on me today. If the world is indeed facing imminent doom, by whatever event(s); nibiru, world wide economic collapse, world war nuclear holocaust, influenza pandemic, biological murder, (the list goes on and on), then tight knit local communities are where we'll find most of the "survivors", eh? Those communities will be formed by certain individuals who possess the ability to organize, and motivate, a group to look beyond their own individual needs and, instead, look at how helping their neighbors will enhance their chances of individual survival.

Now, consider the seed. A seed can be stored and taken care of for quite a while and the seed never delivers any benefit for it's care taker. But when the seed is called on to "do it's thang" it will no longer be a seed. In essence, it has been martyred. But, it's use led to continuity of a life form.
