History isn't about how old something is, History is about people and the decisions they made in the face of obstacles.

I am in the same county that my ancestors settled in during the 1600's. Plenty of history. Oh, and I'm looking at a Presidential Estate right now.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

I say I grew up in the middle of American History.

From the front of the house I grew up in you can see where Frances Scott Key Wrote the "Star Spangled Banned" and from the back of the house you could see the first registered Ghost House.

How about you?

I live between the place where Lincoln debated Douglas and where Ulysses S. Grant was born. I live in the place where Lincoln commanded troops in the Black Hawk Indian Wars. I have always been here; I live west of James Fenimore Cooper's Defeat (a creek) and east of Buffalo Bill's birthplace.

I have always been here; I will always be here.

I live in California, the heart of the gold country and my last house before this one I had a 1800ft. deep gold mine on it and it also was the location of a stop for the pony express. Part of the original foundation was still there.

Nope, historical Presidential home. In fact the former President is still there.

Lot of history here in the Hudson Valley. I'm descended from Henry Hudson, but that's not something that most people would really brag about if they knew his history.

EDIT to add: Lucky for me i'm also descended from French royalty. One guy was so batshit he thought he was made of glass.

I live in the original home of the Shawnee in the Delaware Water Gap.
There's so much history here it will make you puke.
There are early English Settlements that were wiped out by the Shawnee. Old forts and Revolutary War shit all over the place.
I live on Shawnee Mountian proper which is also considered to be extremly haunted.
Living here is a lot of fun.

Buffalo Bill died not far from here. I didn't even know he was a real person until I moved out here.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.
