SHe was help prisoner in her own home by her husband and THIS DOCTOR.

It is very obvious they were sold the children and the women on regular bases and therefore she chose to kill them and herself.

The doctor was a sick pedophile, her husband was his servant.

She killed her own offspring after she knew the torture would not stop for them or her.

That was a wrong thing to do but she chose to do it in a desperation and darkness and loneliness of her children cries from their birth to be heard in their dark house.
