What's Bigger Than Cisco, Coke, Or McDonald's?
Steve Feinberg's Cerberus, a vast hedge fund that's snapping up companies -- lots of them

To sum up:

Is anyone paying attention or does anyone see this?

Cerberus owns one of the big 3

So why are you beating up Cerberus? They own a majority stake, but Daimler still has a position. Cerberus is a Capital Investment Group and it's always been felt amongst Chrysler employees that it would be on the block for any reason. Hence, no bailout from the partial owner. Cerberus, if they need to, will sell off their stake piece by piece.

One...I'm beating up on no one. I understand the investment group parameters.

Two...I've found it more than interesting the kind of control this group has and who its affiliates are and the kinds of political connections they have.

Three...it's curious to me that they have invested into a Japanese bank that was underwritten basically by Lehman Bros who needed a bail out that was granted by Paulson (basically) who followed in the footsteps of Snow who sat on the board of the American Enterprise Institute with Lynne Cheney whose husband is of course the Vice President, and the Business Roundtable.

Four...Cerberus BOUGHT Chrysler for HALF of what they're asking for the bail-out. They have reported to have 24billion in assets but won't invest back into the very company they are asking the GOVERNMENT to bail out!

Daimler has 19% ownership interest....and I don't even understand what you're trying to say about the employees.

I'm just a nobody who connected a few dots. Cerberus certainly will do what it wants as their diversity indicates........why should I care if they own gun manufacturers as well as bus companies, car rental companies, other investment companies and have close affiliations with those who are also connected with things like NAFTA?

Wow. OAM, you are VERY good at connecting the dots. But then again, you always were. I like your work - even if I hate the atrocities you find at the end of those dots.

From the sounds of this - someone is going to get their new world order and control of the world. I'm beginning to feel the noose tightening around my neck. No meds, no guns, no travel, no nuthin' - unless they say so.

It's not looking good for us little folks, is it?

Wow MOM, I'd like to hook up with a babe like you.
You should work with Scotland Yard.

Looks like this Feinberg creep owner is a fast
moving Sheeney in the tradition of his ancestors.

And Bob Nardelli! This is the guy who raped Home Depot
while he was CEO. I wondered why anyone would hire him..
Now it's starting to make sense.

A company called Magpul came up in the last few years making things called magpuls which are rubber doohickeys that attach to the bottom of rifle magazines to create a finger loop.

Magpul designed a badass new rifle called the Masada, and showcased it on the net and at the SHOT shows.
It was expected to be released late this year or early next year.

Somehow Magpul struck a deal with Bushmaster for partial production rights or something like that. Now, Bushmaster is reportedly entering the Masada - now known as the ACR - into the military small arms competition. There is no fucking way the military is going to change to something other than the AR15/M16 family. - Bushmaster released a statement saying that units would be available to "select" customers in 2009 1q

wtf does that mean?

that means that they know they will lose the arms trials
then shit can the rifle design - probably right before another ban happens -

which is shitty because i really wanted one

guess ill have to stick with my AR's

I don't understand why they make the taxpayers pay for the mistakes when its the bosses or top CEOs who were trusted to run the Companies, etc. Why aren't they sued and fined (if not also thrown in prisons)?

Any capital investor group has the rights to exercise their good common sense, including this Cerberus. Any properly executed business plan has every right in this country to legally make money! If Fienstein or any other CEO of any of these affiliate companies are smart and savvy enough to have a 24billion dollar profit in this economy.....good on them!

HOWEVER......
all of these people connections tell a story.

Also, a bit of research into the Japanese bank and its failure SEEMS to point a direction to the same thing happening here in the states with Lehman Brothers taking the first bail out.

It's pretty clear to me that there's ALOT of ass-covering going on in the "high-ups" of MANY organizations and money-changers and even in political panhandling...

If I'm gonna have an opinion about something I'd like to have one that's bigger than the 30 second sound bite I get from our stupid media. I'd like the auto workers to know who to be pissed off with.....and the unemployed workers....etc.

This is NOT the "fault" of those that the media would have us believe.....and shouldn't be tied to an election or to a "group" (per se).......this is an OLD issue that has reared its ugly head again......SNOW was involved in REGAN years for cryin out loud....

The game is not what we common folks THINK it is...and THAT is the biggest battle.

Dan Quayle and Cerberus Holding American Economy Hostage
By: emptywheel Sunday December 7, 2008 11:48 am

Chris Dodd has signaled that he will let Dan Quayle's Cerberus hold GM--and the American economy-- hostage to get out of its crappy gambling bets.

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd said General Motors Corp. Chief Executive Richard Wagoner should be replaced as a condition of federal aid and Chrysler LLC may have to merge to survive.

Cerberus' M.O. is to buy companies cheaply, chop them up, re-package them, and sell them for a profit. Which is precisely what they intended to do when they acquired Chrysler last year for $7.4 billion (and more than half of GMAC in 2006). But, after a year-long hunt for someone to buy Chrysler and a further $2 billion investment, Cerberus is stuck with a company in a troubled sector hemorrhaging money. So they have been lobbying to have someone bail them out of their crappy investment.

Which is where the Republicans in Congress comes in. We know that Bob Bennett (who has received $17,000 of Cerberus love of late) is getting lobbied to get Cerberus bailed out of its bad investment; and, surprise surprise, Bennett proposed exactly that at Thursday's hearing. We also know that someone--probably Snow or Quayle or someone like that--not only chatted up Bob Corker the other day, but induced him to publicly announce that Cerberus isn't going to help bail its own company, Chrysler, out (this was right before Corker slammed GM's stock by falsely stating its DOE application had been rejected). And though Richard Shelby doesn't want any kind of bailout, it's worth noting the $37,500 invested in him of late, as well as similarly large chunks to John Kyl and Orrin Hatch. (Cerberus also gives big to MI's legislators, both Democratic and Republican.)

In other words, some of these Republicans who are so adamant that the Big Two and a Half shouldn't be bailed out also happen to be the same guys pushing to bail out their buddies at Cerberus.

So when you hear that an auto bailout may "require" a Chrysler merger, what you're hearing is Chris Dodd saying that certain Republicans are holding the auto industry--and with it the American economy--hostage so their well-connected buddies can get bailed out of their crappy investments.

I will be keeping an eye on this. I think there are more dots to connect with Cerberus owning all those gun manufacturers. Maybe they will create a gun shortage in exchange for bailout.
