I think they should borrow the money from the Oil Companies who had such big profits as gas prices went out of control.

Instead of taxing their windfall profits, Congress should require them to bail out the car companies instead of us.

After all, it has been the oil companies that encouraged the auto companies to make all the gas guzzling, huge SUV's and hummers and to not develop hybrids and electic cars.

Actually, I do believe they should file for bankruptcy and restructure so they can get out of all those overpriced labor contracts.

Under restructuring, the plants can keep operating and retooling but the labor and dealer agreements will be gone and they can start from base zero. Some of them might not even want the union involved in their company.

So neocons and evangelical cultists are just as bad as libs... [if you disagree, what of Bush who is going to bail out the auto companies over the wishes of the Congress?!?]
