I campaigned for his daddy when George senior was my TX congresscritter.

I think we are a generation of spoiled, self-centered people. No matter how awake we are or how much we know there's more we can't see, it's still like looking through peep holes. I think the generations after us will look back in appreciation and respect at Bush. It's not a matter of if, but when, that we are attacked and we all know it will be worse than 911. We're on the brink of disaster at all times and I think that what's to come will REALLY wake us up. I think we'll look back and realize how isolated and protected we were from ever suffering the ways we will in the future. And I think the generations after us will learn about the horror of 911 and this president that kept us from getting attacked again. They'll see a president in between Clinton and Obama, without breaking news stories every day about their shady lives and the company they keep. Bush stayed pretty solid, without a major news event about his personal life. He's not a bad person and he won't be remembered for bad things by future generations. He will be the one that came before our government failed to keep us safe.
