"And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places. 8But all these things are the beginning of travail " Matt 24 6-8 |

inca=chinitial User ID: 575765 Brazil 12/21/2008 02:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Listen, American people, I know it's difficult to even understand with the mind these things that may (or not) come but the fact is most of the world have been living without too much food for a loooong time. I belong to these "other" in spite of the fact I lived both in USA and Canada and I gotta tell you: you WILL survive, just need to learn to get rid of garbage food you have been consuming. As a matter of fact I'm a good cook as well. And I have survived with my parents and brother during the difficult times of a country which suffered under the terrorists. With a single chicken leg or 2 you can feed 4 people. Just get an onion or 2 and chopp the pieces of chicken (take everything out of the bone). First you fried the chopped onion (in tiny pieces) with a minimal amount of oil, then you fried the chicken or a single steak (or a combo of whatever meat you have: bacon, red meat & chicken or fish) or whatever and you can add a single tomatoe if you find or just that onion. And then you can serve it over the noodles. You can do exactly the same with rice. Add soya sauce to the rice and a couple of scrambled eggs and some fried pieces of peas plus a single pepper and you will have a Chinese sort of meal for 4 people. Consume jelly is a good thing and also pop corn which is not that expensive. Peanuts, almonds, nuts. Pieces of chocolate would allow you to be satisfied enough time just like drinking coffee. I was a kind of guy who had to eat at least 3 breads in the breakfast. In order to change my habits I reduced to just a couple and then a single bread and then I took out most of the interior just leaving the crust. I don't spend no more in sugar 'cos I eliminated sugar from my life because sugar actually feeds cancer. Even black coffee with 3 or 4 drops of lemon is excellent. Hence, as a general rule of thumb, chopp whatever meat in little pieces and you can boil it or fry it and mix with rice, noodles, potatoes or just salad. |

Quoting: Elijah[link to www.godlikeproductions.com] I'm pretty sure links to Clara's videos were included in at least one the Recession Proof threads. That's where I found her videos for the first time, or it was in one of the "how did our grandparents survive the great depression" threads, I can't remember. I love Clara. Thanks for keeping her in rotation, OP...! She deserves it. Elijah is right though.. it would make her easier to find. edit: Water always wins. :sun: |

czygyny User ID: 418932 United States 12/21/2008 09:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I like cooking like this. I can whip up a batch of stew, or soup or just about anything quick and with just a few ingredients. And, it is true, most of us eat too much, and too much of rich foods. After the initial hunger and cravings you might find yourself feeling and looking better. My mother gets those 'Reminisce' magazines that contain stories and photos from times past. Those folks that lived even 50 years ago looked so much healthier, slimmer and brighter eyed. It 'ain't gonna' be easy, but it certainly can be done. Kletos, Eklektos & Pistos |
