I donated a brother in Vietnam, my children are off limits.

Will not happen, as I am not going to allow them to die in another CIA - Mossad created war.

Thanks McCain for your stance on our borders when we were at war. Woke me up and I quit your game. WILL NOT BE A PART OF IT.

OP, don't blame that on Obama. He's not in office yet!

It's the people behind the puppets who call the shots.

Obama is just another puppet.

He won't stop this he will escalate it to a full blown draft.

Easy solution. Go there drunk and stoned.
They have the power to create reality

I could explain it better but I would need charts, graphs and an easel.

By the way....which ones pink?

5a Hey people remember about 3 - 4 weeks ago there was a thread about just this type of thing happening. It went to over 10 pgs but I don't remember seeing any absolute verification that such call backs or even the supposed letters had gone out. I wonder if this is true if it is verification of the earlier warning? OP what was the rank of the person called back?

(Military recruitment numbers across the board are dwindling, and as result all branches of the service are being overextended to maintain current troop levels in Iraq. Aside from combat-related roles, however, sailors and Air Force members have been deployed in order to protect U.S. economic interests in the region — from oil pipelines to Halliburton’s numerous reconstruction projects.)......that pretty much sums it up

Agreed the only change we got is a front door draft coming..

My worry is that people won't even be allowed to protest when it happens.

The article said that he worked on a missile system that is no longer used by our military, but used in the Gulf war.

Probably the Patriot missile system.

UAE just bought it from us (Dec 22,2008)

>>The deployment of the Guard is why the liberals will start up the new DRAFT in 2009!

sorry to burst your daydream, bubble-brain, but like the Iraq, fiasco, the HUGE bailouts-the HUGE deficits and massive unemployment-job outsourcing, the murder of 2500 of our troops via trickery-all at the feet of BUSH and will be felt 10 years on-
you sound as if you dip into the 'Kool -Aid' a bit to often...

AND THE DRAFT?
BUSH has those plans all drawn up on his desk and ready to sign
Has had for a year, you moron. READ-or take a remedial reading class

He just happens to have a few distractions at the moment-like
WHO THE HECK DOES HE GIVE ANOTHER $100 BILLION IN BAILOUT MONEY TO, NEXT? [VIA OUR TAXES] what to do, what to do-such a long line forming
so little time to destroy the economy -like an evicted renter stripping an apartment of anything of value-before OBama moves in

all this thanks to by and for Republicans

REMEMBER THIS, PEOPLE

1993, Bandel took the option of leaving the Army without retirement and never thought he would be called back to action.

 Quoting: antilib

He probably wanted to receive MORE retirement points for a bigger pension, or military health care etc. so he NEVER RETIRED!! He may not have been active duty, but he VOLUNTARILY remained on the roster for some reason THAT IS KNOWN TO HIM.

It appears his greed caught up with him ... and imo he has no cause to complain since he could have retired many times since he left the active duty Army but continually CHOSE not to.

Hopefully he will get back in shape and make a good ground pounder since the missles that were his expertise no longer are used.

It pisses me off when people like him COMPLAIN about getting called up when they voluntarily stayed in the service. Time for him and his wife to stop whining like babies and do the job he agreed to do.

Don't kid yourself bubbie... I don't believe in sending people like the one referred to in this post overseas, no way!
BUT you can bet your sweet ass that if shit comes knocking at our doors here many of us old women will be standing right beside our husbands and children and grandchildren to fight an honest battle... one with clean motives and outcome.

If this is indeed real, it isn't about the need for troops over there... It's about getting the trained citizens out of this country for unstated reasons... Reasons that I, for one, question.

I'm an old woman and I would fight for the right cause. However, the American war in the Middle East is illegal for all four of the reasons Nazi Germany was convicted by the Nuremberg Tribunal following WWII: War of aggression (no WMD, no govt links to terrorists), conspiracy to commit war of aggression (lies about WMD and links to terrorists), crimes against civilians ("depleted uranium and purchase of innocent civilians from bounty hunters as enemy combatants), crimes against prisoners of war (torturing, rendition, and holding without charges or due process).

none of us are here cause we did something, we are here because some one we didn't know did something.
some gave there lives for our country.

this isn't TV or a video game, the person who starts calling anther coward is allmost allways one himself,
