Quoting: FAQ To quote a single post, click the Quote button in the upper right corner of the reply you wish to quote. This will open a reply page with the previous poster's full text already in quote brackets. It's considered good net etiquette to edit very long posts down to the relevant portion you are responding to, which saves everyone else from scrolling past the same lengthy post multiple times in a thread. Also, it is generally easier to follow if you post your response below the quote, as opposed to above it. How to include quotes from multiple posts. Right click the Quote button on each reply you wish to quote, then open in a new tab or window. Next, click on the reply to thread button at the bottom of the thread to which you are replying. This will open a standard blank reply page. Then, you can copy and paste each quote from the other tabs or windows into your reply. If you wish to place text from another source into a highlighted quote box, you can type out the quote code manually as follows, minus the periods. All you have to do is Left click the quote bubble that has the 'green' (plus sign) it will then turn red, keep L clicking all the quotes you want to quote with the green plus bubble - on the last one that you want to quote - L click just the regular quote bubble - it will automatically open the reply box with all the quotes you wanted. much easier - no copy/paste or opening new tabs. . Finally. I had to scroll through so much just to see if someone with a brain already said this. ![]() Also if you have not already figured out that hovering over those icons tells you what they do; The hash icon on the upper right side lets you copy a quote in a thread and post it elsewhere as a link. It takes you directly to that copied quote in the linked thread from the place you post it. The blue up and down arrow allows you to go to previous or later posts by the same user on that page, or on subsequent or prior pages. Thanks :-)... Upgraded in account and use another web browser now so not sure how it goes... I believe you need to edit in the font color codes manually. You can learn what they are by using the font color pull down box in the editor functions. Select a word and highlight it then choose the font color. Current setting is (default). That will generate the code needed. the word color will appear in two separate sets of brackets. Next, copy the start code segment Bracket [] (with everything in it) and end code segment bracket [] from the editor box, paste each one separately, in order as they appear. The desired text you want color for needs to be between the start and finish code segment brackets. That should do it.
