Re: STRANGE VERY BRIGHT STAR LIKE THING.
As TU says she has left this thread now, I shall simply direct this to anyone else silly enough to be interested. There may be a few useful photography hints below, but other than that, just skip the post..

TU 622275:
>Up, I didn't write it in anger, but rather frustration.

TU's frustration was presumably at:
- her images being questioned very reasonably eg, was it in focus? By refusing to do some very simple tests, she pretty much proved they weren't.
- her claims about an object obscuring Venus being refuted, as it simply CANNOT be obscured in the way she suggested by anything anywhere near Earth. (Parallax!!!)
- her claims that the camera was steady & 'mounted' being refuted, when in many cases it clearly was not, and she refused to show background to prove otherwise.
- her claims that her still images were taken at 1/1000 second being refuted, because that camera is simply not able to take night images of that type at that speed
- her claims that objects were moving wildly, being refuted by the images themselves including buildings that were also moving wildly in the exact same direction and amplitude

Yes, I understand the frustration. But I do not sympathise.

>Maybe instead of ramming your teaching down our throats
When I *repeat* something because someone persists in ignoring basic commonsense advice, some might not call it 'ramming'..

>it was a chance for you to learn something new, try
>something new.

I'm still here, listening out for something I can learn - maybe angel or someone else will provide it.

>As for most of my night photos, as stated previously, I
>set for 1/1000.
TU again has refused to post the original. That's because she knows I can prove it was not taken at anywhere that speed. She has avoided this request continually, and I know why.

You see, this is a pretty important point. She claimed the objects were moving fast, as indicated by the 'high shutter speed' she was allegedly using. And yet:
- the images show what are obviously very poorly lit buildings (at 1/1000 sec her camera would show NO details of that kind whatsoever.. try this at home, kids..)
- the buildings themselves show *very obvious* motion blur.

What's more, if you measure the direction and amplitude of the movement by the BUILDINGS, you can see it matches that of the object to perfection. In other words, either the camera was moving, hence the squiggles, or BOTH the buildings and the object were dancing around together.. I know which possibility seems more likely.

>It's beneath me to fake anything. It's morally corrupt,
>and I won't do it.
And yet, the one very simple thing she could do to prove her images were taken exactly as she claims, she refuses to do.

She can't. Because she knows I can prove what shutter speed they were taken at, if the originals are posted.

>The entire time you accused me using auto focus, when my
>camera was clearly set on either manual or infinity
This proves what I was saying - note TU's video here:
[link to www.youtube.com]
and watch carefully at 0.43 as she zooms in. You'll notice that she starts with a wide view. Then she zooms right in and you can clearly see the object go way out of focus. This is INEVITABLE with this type of camera. They do NOT hold focus as you zoom. You MUST refocus the camera when you change the zoom. TU did NOT do so, and made no refernce whatsoever to the focus. Deliberate or accidental? I thought it was accidental, until she started changing her story. Suddenly she tells us she was manually focusing, and yet SHE DOESN'T KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO REFOCUS WHEN YOU ZOOM????

IT'S OUT OF FOCUS!!!

>Frankly, how I set my camera is a big so what.

Yes, that pretty well sums it up. What a ridiculous statement.

>Out of here. I have better things to do.

See more of the debacle over here:
Thread: The MYSTERIOUS OBJECT & the MOON * This is what it is !
where TU is not getting quite the reception she hoped for..

I repeat my earlier commnets - this sort of stuff does terrible damage to the cause of genuine ufo investigators.

So please, budding ufologists, learn your equipment. Learn photography. Understand what you can and can't do. Understand what you need to get, if you want to do this seriously.

Join an astronoimy club, or if you're afraid of never beeing seen again, how about a photography club or classes.

Don't worry, *I'm* not teaching just now (not for a few months at least) and you won't run into me unless you live in Australia...

Or alternatively, post gibberish and get the reception you are asking for..

Just to throw this out there as I see the thread has degenerated again into Accusations and falsifications.

But, Go out to walmart or sears or whatever. or check ebay. get a Vivitar or other cheap telescope that advertises it's Magnification over Aperture. they usually are cheap.

they are toys for the most part, can be a bit difficult to use, but with a little practice you can use then to see stars. They generally run about 19.99 or more but are Constantly on sale for 7.95 or slightly more. Shop around, it's always a good investment to have even the simplest scope/binocs to ensure your actually seeing, what your seeing.

Take this "telescope". and point it at your Bright star like thing. if you have a decent camera you MAY be able to CLEARLY shoot the object.

However, over the last few days, I have taken my Toy "telescope" and was able to look through it. And visually see the crescent of Venus, later on in same evening. I was able to make out Saturn and just minutely make out it's Rings.

And to the upper left of Saturn, I was able to see lulin. Albeit a green smudge with no discernable focal point with a cheap toy such as the Vivitar but if your going to try to utilize a camera to snag some photo's of alleged UFO's might be a good idea to ensure your not shooting a star instead.

Oh I undoubtably Agree a good pair of binocs would be the better route. but to dissuade folks from arguing at how expensive a good pair of binocs are in comparison to the cheapest of telescopes.

comparably you can still determine weather your looking at a blurry blob of a "plasma shielded cloaked mother ship" or...a STAR, but before running off and Claiming you have made an awesome discovery on a Forum (which from my understanding on how certain forums work) you have to take the criticism and remarks of people, and be willing to refute claims. not do Ad Hominen attacks.

it's amazing what you can see with a good set of optics.

I again am not claiming that some of the folks claims here are any less valid in my opinion. it's just I prefer to look at all the evidence at hand, including the mundane before running off and claiming it's something bigger.

Hiya guys...

I can assure you it is NOT Venus and that various agencies and powers that be are trying to cover up what this actually is but as you will see march 11th which is when NASA states that Venus will completely disappear from site...this is NOT Venus and have some of you noticed how lately it has been super cloudy and such? can you say HAARP? yes they try to blanket the truth by covering it up and coming on forums like this saying it is just Venus or Sirius because they think we are stupid...if that is Venus then she is fixing to crash in to us lol, I have created a blog where I research this phenomena and many other as it relates to 2012 which you can view here:

Thanks, Star Researcher, for bringing up this thread today. I had almost begun to believe that the object I have been watching nearly every night, since this thread was started, was actually Venus. The picture on your site of this strange "Venus" has shown me that I wasn't imagining or wishing the object was anything but Venus. It isn't!

It has been very cloudy for days here, 30 miles inland from the Gulf in Texas, so viewing has been impossible. I thought maybe the object was causing the clouds to form for its own reason.

Excuse the last thread kindly I did not see it was already there quoted...TY...the truth is inevitable...tonight I saw this object in a totally different spot in the sky...for the past few days it has been right next to the moon...this time it was totally on the opposite side no where near it at dusk.

Don't worry AC things should clear up soon I was not able to see it for a while as well...whatever it is I am drawn to seeing it...and I have seen Venus for 27 years and NEVER had such a PULL this is magnetic it is crazy it is almost like my soul calls to it or visa verse...it is unlike ANYTHING ever experienced in my life and trust me my parents were astronomical buffs so I know that this is not normal.

A diminishing phase, atypically bright and weirdly located Venus. Looks pretty much as it.

But some, many know... there is much more to this. Isn´t it?

The following video is very similar to those of Texas Uncensored but does not have the close up and therefore the blurring due to focus problems. But the essential features of Texas' movies remain, the flickering in various colors and the apparent fast/sudden movement of the "object".

[link to www.youtube.com]

But, of course, it's important to wait until the the end of this month for Venus to disappear from the night sky (on the US and good part of Europe) to confirm that this object is really not Venus.

Interesting that EVM is saying the same about the flickering object he shot in the "Update Bright Object/Star With The Moon" series of movies.(fpr example see the video above
[link to www.youtube.com]

It would getting *brighter* while Venus is actually getting dimmer.

But Venus is still very bright and setting nearly 2 hs after the Sun, then it's important to wait for it be not visible (by the end of the month) to have a more objective observation of this non-Venus object. I believe then many questions will start to be answered.
