Anonymous Coward User ID: 590816 United States 01/11/2009 12:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | is it possible that they just chose what they chose and there's no significance to it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 473581No. There is significance about it. It's a recognition thing, sort of like "I'll be wearing a white carnation" or something similar to that. Some power players used to wear a red rose in their lapels. Notice, in future gatherings of the big wigs, what they are wearing and what their wives are wearing. Watch the inauguration. Will Obama be wearing the blue tie or the red tie? I think that the red signifies a tie to the Vatican. Don't know about the blue one. . |

ShowMe State of Mind User ID: 553115 United States 01/11/2009 12:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I searched for this topic on here and couldn't find anything. Can someone please tell me the significance of our political leaders wearing light blue or red neckties? I saw a masonic postcard that had a cartoon of masons all seated around a table and they were wearing either light blue or red sashes. I immediately thought of our recent photo op with the 5 past/present/future presidents and remembered the obivious coloring of their neckties...bush sr. - light blue, bush jr. - light blue, barak - light blue, clinton - red, carter - red. What does it mean? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 564302Thanks, in advance for any info! IMAGE ( [link to i375.photobucket.com] ) IMAGE ( [link to i375.photobucket.com] ) You beat me to this question...I was wondering this this morning. I had to deal with a very "republican" old school attorney once. We had a court appearance together and he told me on the first day to dress in dull colors, but on the second day (when he/we would speak) to wear bright, if not red colors. He said that the bright colors represent aggression. I don't know if it really meant anything or not...he sort of turned out to be a bit of a nut. However I did see the pic of the presidents and it brought it back to mind. Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.~Eleanor Roosevelt ~V~ |
