Hospital could force staff to 'dismember preborn babies'
A legal alliance of Christian attorneys is taking University of Wisconsin hospitals to task on second-trimester abortions.

Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) attorney Matt Bowman has sent a letter to officials at the hospitals and clinics about implementing a secret and potentially illegal plan to perform the abortions with a jointly-operated clinic.

"In Wisconsin there's a plan to take a legitimate medical facility and impose upon it -- by its leadership at the University of Wisconsin -- late-term, second-trimester abortions," he explains, "and pro-life health professionals at the facility who object are in danger of being required to participate in some way."

According to an ADF press release, the plan could force reluctant employees to "[dismember] preborn babies," regardless of firmly held religious views they might have against it. The act could also be determined as illegal funding of abortion by the state.

Bowman believes no one should be forced to act against ethical or religious objections in the work place. "ADF is prepared to take legal action immediately on any coercion or penalties applied to pro-life health professionals because of their objection to this," he points out.

Any coercion, Bowman adds, could mean the school is violating state or federal law, or both.

Unfortunately that is what is going to happen. FOCA expands abortion on demand (no restrictions) as a right. Even people who believe in Freedom of Choice should see the inherent dangers of forcing people to go against their beliefs. This may very well put many Religious Charity Hospitals out of business.

What's worse is that those same people will be paying the taxes that will enforce the legislation that will do this to them.

You know what I don't understand?

The simple fact that in the US more then DOUBLE[i/] the amount of abortions per 1000 women occur then in the Netherlands. The teenage birth rate is TWENTY times lower then in the US.

Yet in the Netherlands there is hardly any serious "pro-life" movement (and most other western European countries, besides the UK where incidentally the above 2 mentioned statistics are far closer to the US then to the European mainland), in the Netherlands 30+% consider themselves to be atheistic/agnostic. Do you christ-freaks actually comprehend that in a large part YOU are responsible for it?

By crying when a old and ugly tit is shown during the superbowl, crying when your kids school wants to give sexual education, by reacting totally retarded if your kid would ask for contraceptives you simply said cause it.

Let's not just import sex education form the Netherlands. Let's import the entire curriculumn of the Netherlands. Let's make our children as literate and educated as the children of the Netherlands. After all literate ,educated women are less likely to be shafted by men. Don't hold your breathe waiting for this to happen because fortunes are made in the adoption market and in abortions. The elites also don't want U.S. children to become educated.

Re: Hospital could force staff to 'dismember preborn babies'
Providing and forcing are two different things.

I am pro choice, but I do not think it is right to force a doctor to perform something he feels deeply against. I also don't think my tax dollars should go to pay for government law officials to enforce these rules on community. I also don't think my tax dollars should pay for abortions in Mexico. And no matter how much you'd love me to be Pro-Life Bible Thumping Nut Case in order to support your idea that Force = Freedom the truth is I am not....and I doubt I'm alone here.

How far does this reach? I reckon only how far your willingness reaches?

Can a doctor be forced by a hospital (the one paying his bills) if he for example would refuse to set bones back up because he has some weird fetish/reverence about broken bones? By your logic the hospital can't, you have a severe moral/religious bias you demand an exception based on your standards and on your standards alone.

Amen. Setting broken bones vs. killing unborn babies = not comparable.
