What you say about organized religion is true. People tend to shift towards interpretations that empower their own beliefs. That said, it does not negate the fact that there is a truth out there. Which one? I believe only God directly can instill this in us through the Holy Spirit.

I must also point out that you are also following someone else's 'ideas' via the author who is interpreting Revelations for you. Perhaps this aligns with your own beliefs and therefore you choose to believe him.

There are many who have read the bible and perhaps can quote it ver batem but that does not mean they have an understanding of the Word of God. This comes only through the devine revalation that the Holy Spirit provides. The Holy Spirit, in turn, can only be received by us through a personal relationship with God/Jesus.

Ultimatly, it makes no difference what you or I believe. We will not impact each other because of our differences in opinion. We shall both have to wait and find out 'in the end' who was correct:)
