Not to usurp candace or anything.
My opinion is that it could be a relatively dense band of fast moving light(weight) particles from a cme which is coming down on us, Like the shockwave from an explosion.
A pre-cursor to the main bulk arriving perhaps?

And example of a HUGE shoot, was the event that started this very thread, implemented at midnight UTC Jan 20/21, on purpose at that time to grab attention.
