My favorite so far is

N. Colmore Fatagravure #51, Capture?

The entity in it looks almost angry, giving a natural look and feel to the photo as if saying something to the photographer about not being welcome in his/her world.

I've seen a couple of things in the past - but only one of them could be classed as a fairy.

It was just a glimpse, as if it were passing between two invisible openings or doorways.

It looked like it was out of a russian fairytale - all wooden and pointy with wings like crumpled autumn leaves.

It's eyes were black and beady and it had a pointy head.
And I could see right through it!

I does make you wonder if that out-of-phase thing could have some truth to it.

Actually - if you want to watch Pan's Labyrinth those fairy type things were very much like it.

You may want to skip the bit at the start with the two captured locals - it is a bit... violent.

Not a kids film by the way!

I have been meaning to watch that movie. for some reason or another I haven't gotten around to it.

I have seen the one in reference to the Cottingly Fairies
I beleive it was "fairy Tale: a true story"

was pretty good movie. it's unfortunate that the Cottingly Fairies showed to be a hoax. as I am sure The Colmore stuff may eventually show that as well. but without much more of history on it it has some credibility..

If you really want to know if it is a hoax - look at the typefaces used.
This might help to pinpoint the time the photo's were taken...

(some typefaces did not exist before the 1960's)

Yeah, I was noticing that on

Signed Cabinet Card, Peter "Fleable" Flint

photo.

To me it looked like an inset photo on top of a Border created in photoshop or an equivalent program.

The type used at the top of the photo just seemed a bit to modern...

you know now that you point it out. that does look rather...off...The shadow alone on said cocoon looks too sharp...crisp. it actually looks FAKE :)..

I was hoping in the beginning to give these a bit of credibility. but it seems we are pointing more towards some kind of ART project.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was going to be about the Mayor of Portland, OR. hf
