I'm confused whether he pawned it to shop or the dealer. Either way, my biggest concern would be the running up of the bill and WHO they are calling before you had service turned off. If it's drug dealing and using your phone, then you get implicated. If it's a pawn shop, then it's stolen. Might want to report it to police to protect yourself. You can always say you lost it, think it fell out of the car or something if you are trying to protect him. And, don't lend your stuff to users who are broke.... that's one of the ways hearts get broken. Sorry, OP.
