Have been on holiday - we were having a bonfire on the beach and watching the shooting stars when we saw a meteorite. The one I saw was too fast to be a satellite - it swept across the sky leaving a yellow tail and disappeared in about 5 secs. It was around the time of the news reports (can't remember which date as I don't even take a watch away with me on holiday yet alone remember which day we had the bonfire).
