instead of bankruptcy, should the US simply start invading, pillaging, ransacking, aka stealing

the US is heading over a financial cliff.
the US govt is already recognized as a bully,
and a country willing to kill to get what they want.

so, what is holding them back?
why not live up to the billing.
be all that you can be.
if the US needs capital, then just go ahead and take it.
if the US needs oil, then drill.
what ever they need, just take it.
