The reason why cheaper, more efficient, HD-DVD lost to Blue Ray
Blue Ray needs all the extra space to put in subliminal messages into the disk.

The format is much easier to handle. You can record over 8 hours on a sd disk with a hd camcorder. IT phenominal. I just hope its not the next betamax.
They have the power to create reality

I could explain it better but I would need charts, graphs and an easel.

By the way....which ones pink?

And, I suppose there is some way you can prove this?
In ten years we'll look back on this moment, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject.

Re: The reason why cheaper, more efficient, HD-DVD lost to Blue Ray
there is no blue-ray.

the tech is called Blu-Ray and is superior over microsoft's now dead HD-DVD.

"Because Blu-ray utilizes a lens with a greater numerical aperture than HD-DVD, the laser spot can be focused with greater precision to fit more data on the same size disc. This allows Blu-ray to hold 25GB per layer (50GB on a dual-layer disc), whereas HD-DVD can only hold 15GB per layer (30GB on a dual-layer disc). Blu-ray has also adopted a higher data transfer rate for video and audio (54Mbps vs 36.55Mbps)."

Re: The reason why cheaper, more efficient, HD-DVD lost to Blue Ray
blue ray is actually backed heavily by muslim terrorists, of which our president barack osama obama bin laden supports.

The recent piracy off the coast of Africa, its really a front to get rid of HD-DVD technology, a technology that just happens to be one of the last true secret american technologies of the world. China and Russia know this and our destroying our culture as we speak via HD-DVD via Somali piracy.

Wake up people!! Blue Ray discs are stamped with the seal of Satan, just hold them up to a gamma ray and peer into the secrets of hell.

Re: The reason why cheaper, more efficient, HD-DVD lost to Blue Ray
Microsoft did not invent HD-DVD or really push it, they just made one attachment.

Also the shift to digital BROADCASTS had nothing to do with High Definition television.

That takes talent and perspective.

To turn this thread into a Satan rant.

Re: The reason why cheaper, more efficient, HD-DVD lost to Blue Ray
they both suck.

Merely a change of format to counter video piracy.
