many times there are earthquakes
before a volcano becomes active

i'm sure all of the volcanic systems on the west coast are in some way connected

1 - Ur late, 2- yes they are related. All earthquakes are "related" as there is a spidery web type connection that spans San Andreas over to New Madrid and on to east coast.

Mid March through Mid April of 2009 or 2010 --- Yellowstone will erupt. Hydrothermal explosion.

And yes ---- volcanism in Alaska and quake activity in PNW are indeed related.
