there is seven foot of snow in my garden here in montreal ... overall its been a pretty average winter here ... yesterday it went above -10 for the first time in seven weeks so its beginning to feel a lot like spring - I even heard a couple of birds have already returned

I got several inches of ice in the driveway, I try not to put much in the rig in case I need to push it out of the ice rut by hand. The uneven parts of the driveway are gone, and it is easier to use the snowthrower. Been using ashes from the woodstove to make for better foot traction. We had several inches of snow, then a whole bunch of rain, then it has stayed cold. If it warms up slightly more ice forms over the traction areas.

I think at this point it's become obvious that the weather is starting to get weird. Nature is spinning off track faster and faster. The birds and insects are dying and we get more extreme weather.

Ir does say alot for the intelligence of birds don't ya think. They leave to avoid the worst of the weather.
