Revelation 14 contains the summary and sequence of key end-time events, as follows.

Rev 14:1-5 Sealing of the 144000 end-time Israelite evangelists.

The first end-time event is the sealing of the 144000 descendants of Israel of old. The sealing of the 144000 is well described in Revelation 7. Some churches hold the doctrine that the 144000 described in Revelation 7 are Israelites, while the 144000 described in revelation 14 are gentiles. That is false doctrine. There is only one set of 144000 and they are Israelites.

Rev 7:1-4 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.
Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.

The four winds of the earth are winds of judgment. They will not blow until the 144000 are sealed. Once they are sealed, the end-time tribulation begins immediately.

Eph 5:27 And to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

The churches are expecting the rapture to take place any moment from now. However, Eph 5:27 describes the state of the Church when Christ presents her to Himself (rapture). Are you honestly convinced that the Church of today has risen up to the standard of Eph 5:27? If not, how do you think the Church could rise up to the standard of Eph 5:27? The answer has something to do with the 144000.

Ro 11:15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

Right now, the Church is not perfect, and only the perfect can come before God. The Church as it is today cannot come before God, physically. The Church can only come before God by faith, through Jesus Christ. The Church will rise to life (that is, become perfect), only after God restores His kingdom to Israel (Acts 1:6). The restoration of Israel will lead to perfection of the Church, a precondition for the rapture to take place. Restoration of Israel begins with the sealing of 144000 end-time Israelite evangelists.

The 144000 are the sons of God that will be manifested (Ro 8:19). God will use them to liberate believers in Christ from bondage to decay (morally and physically). People of God will no longer commit sin and will no longer be sick, due to revealed knowledge that they will receive through the 144000.

Rev 14:6-7 The 144000 begins to preach the eternal gospel

The 144000 will receive the end-time gospel message from angels. The message will be preached in every nation, tribe, language and people—including Saudi Arabia. By the time they carry out this ministry, end-time judgment is already taking place. The judgment can be seen in Luke 21.

Lk 21:10 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
Lk 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Rev 14:8 Fall of USA

USA is today’s Babylon. World war III will take place, during which USA will be vanquished and devastated. World economy will completely collapse, leading to great hardship in the whole world.

Rev 14:9-13 The rise of the Antichrist

Following world war III, the legendary Antichrist will arise. By then the world will be in a very terrible state and nobody will be able to challenge the Antichrist. Not long after his emergence, the Antichrist issues the mark of the beast. A lot of the Christians who preach “rapture before the tribulation” today will face the possibility of martyrdom during the time of the Antichrist. (See Mt 24:9-13.)

Many Christians will turn away from Jesus because of the great persecution that will be visited upon the believers in Christ. That will be very sad. No person who follows the Antichrist and receives His mark will be alive when Christ returns in a couple of months. So, what is the point in saving one’s life by taking the mark, only to die in a couple of months and go to hell?

Rev 14:14-16 The rapture

Can you see the position of the rapture in the sequence of end-time events? If you doubt that Rev 14:14-16 describes the rapture, compare with the most popular rapture passage—1 Thes 4:15-17. Comparing the two passages of Scripture, you see “cloud” and “loud (voice of an angel)” in both of them. Don’t you think that the two passages describe the same event? The rapture will happen during the Great Tribulation. The mark of the beast is what will separate the sheep from the goats (Mt 25:31-46), or the wheat from the tares (Mt 13:24-30).

Rev 14:17-20 God’s wrath for those who miss the rapture

The last event of the end time is the outpouring of God’s wrath on those who remain on earth after the rapture. I pity those who will betray Christ when believers in Christ are being persecuted. They will think they are saving their skin, but they will meet horrible death a few weeks or months later. Is it not better to die honourably in Christ than to perish in the wrath of God? Any person who takes the mark of the beast in order to escape martyrdom will still perish before the Great Tribulation ends. Whereas a person who decides to side with Christ no matter what happens may make rapture alive; even if s/he is martyred, s/he makes the rapture in a few days’, weeks’ or months’ time. I wish people will be able to have this wisdom when the time comes.

It is not only the goats that will miss the rapture. Some sheep will also miss the rapture. That is what the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Mt 25:1-10) is all about. Some sheep will be unable to reach perfection by the time of the rapture; only the pure in heart can see God (Matt 5:8). They are the foolish virgins of Matthew 25. It also appears like the 144000 will remain on earth after the rapture. I believe that they are the woman (Israel) who gives birth to the manchild Church that is raptured up to heaven in Revelation 12. I think that they are the elect that Jesus referred to Matt 24:22.

Rapture will take place on Rosh Hashanah day, 2012.

The Rapture was invented by John Darby in the 19th century. Why anyone believes in this is astounding.
