It was a beautiful speech, but much more than that; President Obama, unlike his predecessor, is willing and capable of taking unscripted questions from the audience without threatening to have the reporters, etc fired, drawn and quartered or any other number of unpleasant acts done upon their person.

I believe it's called: having a sense of humor about oneself. Obama has a sense of humor and can actually laugh in normal situations, not just when he's stuffed an M-80 up someone's ass and light the fuse!

The thing that strikes me about Obama-lovers is that they all view him as their own personal best friend and they envision that he has the personality traits that they would like him to have.

Apparently, I'm a much better judge of character than you guys and I've been around the block a few times. I've known people like Obama and I know exactly how his kind operates. He's the type of person who, when you meet him say at a party or social event of some kind, is immediately sizing you up to see what he can gain from you and how he would go about getting it. He'll remember your name throughout the night and crack a few bland inoffensive jokes and innocently flirt with your date. While a lot of you would be thinking, "My, what a charming gentleman," I would have seen right through his ruse at that point and told him to take a hike.

George W. Bush, on the other hand, would be the guy who would drink a beer (or 12) with you and just shoot the shit about whatever (but preferably sports or hunting.) He might forget your name throughout the night and blatantly hit on your date but he would be the guy who you'd invite with you to the bar or the game next time. At least, if you were good at analyzing people.
