HippyChild (OP) User ID: 565562 United Kingdom 02/09/2009 10:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Damn mind blowing, I don't get you at all. Well that's the only I come here to complain about those consumerism things. :chair: But yet you refer to ALL as crazy. As if everything's 'bout 'bama. pffft. Quoting: Los_SuorovinracOh I know, humans are one of the most easily brainwashed species on this planet, and the consumerist bigwigs know this only too well. I am all against consumerism, especially using it to prop up the economy. As for my inherent weakness, well, that is just a matter of opinion, on which I shall allow you free reign. I just dissagree with using insults and childish tactics to try to overpower the original argument.. it's rather immature. But fair point nonetheless I guess. Hahaha nahhh man, just the people opposing him for extremely paranoid reasons. Besides, in his speech he said pretty much the same as i just did; 'I am all against consumerism, especially using it to prop up the economy.' Well.. the part about the economy at least. I truly believe that the man has righteous motives though, and America will improve, including the consumerist brainwashing. Though, in that sence, an economic downfall is welcomed.. No economy, no consumerism.. no brainwashing. But while I am off the grid and self sufficient, many others are not.... and I could not wish death and suffering to the masses, even if it would be for the greater good in the long run. :/ It's all about perspective.. |

Quoting: HippyChildI believe it's called: having a sense of humor about oneself. Obama has a sense of humor and can actually laugh in normal situations, not just when he's stuffed an M-80 up someone's ass and light the fuse! The thing that strikes me about Obama-lovers is that they all view him as their own personal best friend and they envision that he has the personality traits that they would like him to have. Apparently, I'm a much better judge of character than you guys and I've been around the block a few times. I've known people like Obama and I know exactly how his kind operates. He's the type of person who, when you meet him say at a party or social event of some kind, is immediately sizing you up to see what he can gain from you and how he would go about getting it. He'll remember your name throughout the night and crack a few bland inoffensive jokes and innocently flirt with your date. While a lot of you would be thinking, "My, what a charming gentleman," I would have seen right through his ruse at that point and told him to take a hike. George W. Bush, on the other hand, would be the guy who would drink a beer (or 12) with you and just shoot the shit about whatever (but preferably sports or hunting.) He might forget your name throughout the night and blatantly hit on your date but he would be the guy who you'd invite with you to the bar or the game next time. At least, if you were good at analyzing people. Wow.. what a totally redundant argument. Paranoid christian, right? Yeah.. I know...change is hard :P Change is unnecessary! |

The reason this country is great is because we have survived recessions before and we have told Europe and the rest of the world where they can go if they don't like us. When you're on top, there will always be people who don't like you. The absolute worst thing you can do is show weakness like Obama has by shutting down Guantanamo.
