We are like flies crawling across the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel: We cannot see what angels and gods lie underneath the threshold of our perceptions. We do not live in reality; we live in our paradigms, our habituated perceptions, our illusions; the illusions we share through culture we call reality, but the true historical reality of our condition is invisible to us.” |

It is so good to see a bright spot like that in all the suffering and woe our neighbors in Australia are going thru. My heart goes out to those who have lost so much. |

(2009 Australian Bushfires) I know, made my tear too. I did not know there was a video. They also showed on the news yesterday same thing with some bike riders after the fire...another koala came up to them in the middle of the road they stopped and the koala grabbed for their water bottles, so the bike riders sat there giving the little guy water from the bottles. Pretty cool pics and videos. Sad, what Australia is going through. |

"They keep putting their arms around each other and giving each other hugs. They really have made friends and it is quite beautiful to see after all this. It's been horrific," said Wood. |

(2009 Australian Bushfires) Aww . . . everyone loves a fireman (except policeman in my hometown) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. |

It is indeed a special place. 36 million already donated to the red cross by average citizens in Aus during a recession. More dollars than the population of the entire country overall on top of this amount, and it's still climbing. Even the Aussie and NZ cricketers who played a game of cricket scheduled in SA during the fires donated all of their players match fees to the cause. The Prime minister announced immediate funds of $1000 cash per adult and $400 for every child within 12 hrs. With $5000 donated by the government for funeral expenses. All lost homes not insured will be Re-placed by the Aus federal Government. If only you knew the half of it. When a part of your tribe is hurting, you all hurt down here. |
