Then when the markets start tanking, obama will release some news about some other program he is about to release. And then the markets will rally on this crap. Keep happening over and over and over. |

Crossing that barrier is a public vote of no confidence in the existing currency systems. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 594298That's the big news. China was saber rattling at this clause at the G7 summit. Let's face it if China's boom goes bust they are primed for a revolution. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 614087that does not make sense. The Dow never makes sense. Everytime they come out with a new package it dives when they announce job loses it goes up. IF this Stimulus was going to raise it, the futures would be up or at least not down 2%, as they are now... Also, the only bright spot the MSM was pushing seems to have soured as well; at least enough to have no effect: "Wal-Mart's profit drops 7.4%, hurt by higher expenses" [link to www.marketwatch.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 614087that does not make sense. The short answer is that the stimulus plan will do very little for the financial markets. Europe's problems are deepening and it appears that some of the Eastern bloc countries are poising themselves for currency collapse with the amount of gold they are buying. |

Here you go Diet: Thread: European Doom Imminent! The sums needed are beyond the limits of the IMF, which has already bailed out Hungary, Ukraine, Latvia, Belarus, Iceland, and Pakistan and Turkey next and is fast exhausting its own $200bn (155bn) reserve. We are nearing the point where the IMF may have to print money for the world, using arcane powers to issue Special Drawing Rights. Its $16bn rescue of Ukraine has unravelled. The country facing a 12pc contraction in GDP after the collapse of steel prices is hurtling towards default, leaving Unicredit, Raffeisen and ING in the lurch. Pakistan wants another $7.6bn. Latvia's central bank governor has declared his economy "clinically dead" after it shrank 10.5pc in the fourth quarter. Protesters have smashed the treasury and stormed parliament. |
