I kinda like it. It's no fun when the government actually works! Besides, I'm more comfortable with the idea of minimal government, and we're no where close to returning to that idea. If we can't choose to have it, we may as well fail us back to that level.

Yep, smart traders will generally park their moves at +/-20 points from a key level, knowing that the moment it hits those numbers, folks will buy, so they'll buy into it, selling it almost immediately, and make a tidy little profit, then move to the next leg down.

In a market like this, that's a good tactic...an old-fashioned battlefield pull back...

Responding to the question as to what this means for tomorrow....

Actually, todays close broke right through the last major resistance point. The next target for the Dow will probably be well below 7000 and on its way to mid 4000's.

Yes, but tomorrow will be a buying spree of around 300+ I think. It has to happen because of appearances and trying to instill faith in this failing market and economy.

The real failure will be in the late spring when the bad economy comes home to roost.

There is still the Stanford fall out tomorrow.
