They should have just made a silver surfer movie and fucked off the fantastic four all together

Its like the only reason they even did the 2 crap fantastic 4 movies is to have the silver surfer on the big screen.
So why didn't they just do a war of the worlds/the day the earth stood still style sci fi movie [the originals]
The silver surfer comes to earth and does his thing preparing it for galactus etc yada yada yada blah blah blah somehow he gets separated from his board disguises himself to look human and meets a charming blind chick who helps him remember his past and shrug off galactus'sss brainwashing.
Talking about the big guy, I don't know what to make of what they made of him, I mean a big scary star trek esc cloud that eats planets seems more plausible than a giant in a flying saucer, its a rock and hard place in terms of which is more stupid right ? back to the point
In the quiet klaatu moments of walking around bonding with us humans we could see flash backs of his past, the bargain that led to his rebirth and the alien worlds he witnessed destroyed.
Then cut to the end of fantastic 4 2 rise of the silver surfer, this is the end for us both scene, really cool ending for such a shit film.
Also I got to say like always the character was nothing like the one in the comics or cartoon but unlike always I actually liked the film version more, the original silver surfer never shut up and spoke like a shakespearean toff but the movie version was cold isolated and detached and very fuckin cool.
All that you know is about to end.
