3200 year ole tomb found in Saqqara, Eqypt.
A noblewoman is what the AP is reporting they found in this Ancient tomb. The area is called Saqqara.

Saqqara is an immense necropolis (cemetery) just south of Cairo and west of the ancient city of Memphis of which very little remains. Used as a burial ground for thousands of years, Saqqara hides its secrets well under desert sands. Despite virtually continuous excavations for some two centuries, much of the area remains to be excavated. The site stretches six kilometres from north to south and more than 1.5 kilometres across at its widest point.

The famous Step Pyramid is on the right with the ruined pyramid
of the 5th Dynasty pharaoh Userkaf on the far left.

The site's best-known feature is the Step Pyramid, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser and its construction was overseen by his vizier Imhotep.

So this puts this women at the end of the New Kingdom era. I wonder if she was one of the sea raiders that overthrew Ramesses III.

Re: 3200 year ole tomb found in Saqqara, Eqypt.
Thanks for the interesting links.
I visited Saqqara in 1996 and had experience of
seeing the step pyramid and a tomb near the front approach (but I forget the name) maybe I can figure it out from this link to Saqqara.
It had a long, long spiral type recent staircase going deep down and was lighted by single bulbs and had a weak fan system. As we descended, I could feel that there was less and less air. Had a minor panic attack, but continued. At the bottom was a low hall and a chamber and a sarcophagus. I remember color/hiroglyphics on the walls (faded) and a ceiling that has stars painted on it. Still have dreams about it. Would love to go back.
This experience prepared me for entering the Great Pyramid at Giza the next day. I knew what to expect and didn't panic. An awesome place.
