What sticks in your memories?

Boils to the surface over and over?
Whether you want it to, or not?

eg:
Sat on the upstairs back porch.
Coffee and book.
Watching river, listening to fish jumping/splash pelicans diving/splat, birds singing.

Mamma duck swimming with the little ducklings in a single file behind.

A log floating against the current approached.

Mouth opened and the gator sucked down a couple baby ducks.
Mamma duck flew over to my backyard
and quacked angrily/futilely.
Again and again the ducklings formed their line.
Again and again the mouth opened,
and a couple more vanished,
until none were left.

Mama duck flew off.

Just life as it is, in the real world.
I went to get some fresh coffee, then returned to my book.

It still infests my memory.
