After much thought on this thread.....I have a solution for the child support dilemma.

What we need to do is to turn the tables around. Men are worried because the women have the best scenario?

I say, If the man were to become the custodial parent in most cases, (excepting abusive fathers) It might give them a tad more perspective. Women could have the little darlings two weekends per month, and be the Disney moms. Dads could drive them to choir, little league, soccer, girl/boy scouts, shopping for school clothes, video game stores, church, school, and, of course, play dates.

Dads could worry about where to live, how bad the schools are, who their kids are friends with, etc...

Keeping a job will be a new challenge also because ya can't take junior to school or activities if he has a fever. YOU have to stay home with him.

Forget dating! you'll have problems finding a sitter. Meeting the guys for a beer will be a thing of the past.

Don't forget homework! ya better brush up on the "new math".
Now when we women come to get the kids... you better have them ready on time. We can't wait around for you to find shoes etc..

Oh... one last thing... we might be late dropping of the kids....ruining your plans but thats ok....plans were made to be broken.

Sound bizarre? It's not....it's a day in the life of your average woman whos been divorced and has kids....

I don't think $900 bucks per month child support is fortune enough for any woman (average, not welfare mom) to live on or "USE" for all kinds of personal items.

My child support does assist in the care and maintenance of the kids. It does NOT keep them like a couple of princesses. I'd say for my two it takes around $2000 per month if you count everything. Thats a conservative figure.

They are involved in many extra cirricular activities that cost quite a bit, but their Dad thinks they should not do the activities so he does not contribute at all. I don't want a couple of hood rats on my hands...I want well rounded, educated little ladies.

Our first child together is grown, but when it came time for college.....he did not contribute for that either. So still paying for a four year college my self.

Once you have your children full time you would be surprised how important these things become to you. How much money it is costing YOU will not be an issue. How your children turn out will be the real issue.
