That was the point of hiding M3. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7315Rumor has it that China has stopped buying US Treasuries. i guess we'll just have to take China's presidents word that they will still buy US treasuries. that certainly sounds more logical than listening to internet rumors. Quoting: Rikerthey made that announcement last week when the Chinese suggested they will stop buying treasuries. though i think the fed will still buy some, but its not a dire situation as previously thought. Who else is going to purchase their worthless crap? You ought to be asking yourself why will they keep purchasing US T-Bills? I think the US Dollar is still dead, but who knows what's up their sleeve. If hyper-inflation doesn't start within the next year or so then I fear we've ALL been duped and will be stuck with these crazy monkeys till we give up the ghost. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 639248 United States 03/23/2009 12:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is no transparency on this report. How exactly do we know china is really buying such assets? US mint is simply printing money and the fed is buying all the debt. China could not afford to purchase anymore debt because goods and stocked up on docks all over their nation and nothing is moving thru the ports just now... I believe this report is a blatant lie. Besides, I dont' care who buys the debt, us or them. Nothing will change, the GREAT RECESSION is in full swing, gold will bump to $1500 or more very soon clearly indicating to me that the US is merely printing dollars and no one is buying them but US. |

Russia earlier submitted a proposal to the G20 summit which could see the IMF examining possibilities for creating a supra-national reserve currency, and also forcing national banks and international financial institutions to diversify their foreign currency reserves. "We believe it is necessary to consider the IMF's role in this process and also define the possibility and the need to adopt measures allowing for Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) to become an internationally recognized super-reserve currency," Russia's proposal read. Hu Xiaolian said that China, which holds about $2 trillion in foreign exchange reserves, was prepared to debate the issue as "the dollar's dominance and U.S. economic woes could entail considerable currency fluctuations and affect the world financial situation." At the same time, she said that discussion into a new global currency could be started but considering the dollar's status as the current primary currency, "we should focus more on enhancing control over the existing system." The G20 summit, involving advanced and emerging economies and international financial institutions, will be held in London on April 2, aimed at finding ways to overcome the ongoing global financial crisis. During the G20 summit, Chinese President Hu Jintao will meet Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and U.S. President Barack Obama, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister He Yafei said. Yafei also said that Jintao will address the summit outlining measures to stabilize the global financial markets, reform the international financial system and harmonize macroeconomic regulation standards. |
