Too true, but I didn't want to misquote 'the man'. Mind you, re devils, all of those uber-powerful Marvel villains thought Spiderman was an easy-beat as well. And yet he still managed to power on & kick ass. (Obviously I'm talking about Silver Age Spidey, back when Stan Lee was at the helm, not the modern abomination. But I digress.)

But seriously, while overconfidence can be fatal, bowing & scraping isn't good an option either. Get yourself sorted with God, and you're sorted. All things be ready, if our minds be so. The purpose of life is not be scared of some kind of Bogeyman, be it devil, demon, serial-killer, killer asteroid or financial crisis.

There's nothing wrong with being scared. The IS something wrong with letting fear stop you from living & enjoying your life.

It's like that very new age phrase- "feel the fear and do it anyway".

I think it's better people have an open dialogue about all these topics, especially in revolutionary times such as the present.

All the supposedly enlightened people of the establishment just don't understand- the oppressors always see themselves as the good guys, and emphasize the bad in their opponents- the status quo is always in favor of itself.

The American Empire.

JFK denounced a pax Americana, and rightly so. America brought peace, enlightenment and freedom not through force but through example. Coercive Presidents from LBJ onwards are no more than Caesars ruling by fiat of the Praetorians- the NSA / CIA - and their power elite masters.

The destruction of a Republic MUST be followed by an Empire, it is established historical fact. It might not be much of an empire, but the death of that most perfect form of government is always followed by the cancerous spread of the tyranny it existed to keep in check.
