I am on this back road driving to the top of a mountain range. I'm bringing up my telescope to film the San Fernando Valley from up and over, its for a class project, any way.
My fiance is like: "Hey look over there! It's one of your freaking ufo's."
I thought she was joking and I said: "Oh yeah? Well shit you should take a picture of it."
I glanced over and saw nothing, I just kept working.
She's like: "Whoa, Matt, hold on, look at this thing."
I find what she's talking about, this white oblong shape way way up there.
I line up the telescope on it.
A GIANT white sphere absorbed the sun-light that was hitting it, a smaller silver sphere, 1/8th the size of the white one, circled the larger sphere and reflected sunlight at me.
I YELL: "That's f*cked up!"
My heart f*cking explodes! And I am shaking and fumbling with my freaking camera trying to line it up to the telescope in time and move the telescope and I'm yelling at my fiance to help me hold it, but she couldn't help.
I throw on my telephoto lens to see if I can at least get SOMETHING, but no, it's just gone.
I'm going up to start frequenting that spot.
SO CRAZY TO ACTUALLY SEE UP IN YOUR FACE!!!
If THAT is military, the military is f*cked up.
This is the telescope: [

Looking through a 10mm eyepiece.
The viewing as the size of a silver dollar. The larger sphere was half the diameter of a dime, and the smaller sphere was 8 times smaller than the larger one.
It moved fluidly, made no sound I could hear, and was 100% clear blue skies.
BELIEVER!
