Could be man made? I would suggest looking into a field of mature oil seed rape (canola) at ground level and report back. Very intimidating unless you are 12 feet tall!
That'd be a lot of cameras!
for walking in mature rape seed!
I've spent plenty of time in corn fields (high as an elephants eye).
One elevated camera (per field of view) should suffice for starters.

The canola stalks will snap, break and die if stepped on. The canola in the circle is not broken but somehow bent. It still is alive and will grow back up. If it does not then you have a hoax.
