Victim Selection
Thread: Concealed Carry Handguns discussion (Page 4)

Cop/gun writer Massad Ayoob
>Each and every one of them had died from a sudden and acute failure of the victim selection process. This is why each and every one of the deaths Thomas inflicted was ruled a justifiable homicide.< from link article page 3

>Tactical Lessons

Some observers in the gun world thought Thomas would have been better served to carry his hardware on his person instead of stashing the guns in strategic locations in the shop The theory is that when the gun is on your person. it is always where you can reach it, and also simultaneously secured from unauthorized personnel.

The criticism has some validity; In his third gunfight, if Thomas could have quick-drawn from his hip instead of having to stretch and reach for his SIG, he might not have taken that first gunshot to the neck, which came so close to killing him.<

Since it's at several websites now.
Here is the link to how to win a gunfight:

>Here is what the US Army says about that in Field Manual 3-23.35 Combat Training With Pistols M9 AND M11 (June,2003):

"Everyone has the ability to point at an object."

"When a soldier points, he instinctively points at the feature on the object on which his eyes are focused. An impulse from the brain causes the arm and hand to stop when the finger reaches the proper position."

"When the eyes are shifted to a new object or feature, the finger, hand, and arm also shift to this point."

"It is this inherent trait that can be used by a soldier to rapidly and accurately engage targets."

With P&S, you engage your natural ability to point, which allows you to AUTOMATICALLY get COM hits, and even while moving.<

And with practice you hit without aiming out to about 40'

Well beyond typical gunfight range.<

Re: Victim Selection
I hit what I aim at out to about 45 feet during a gunfight.

You who have never been in a gunfight have no idea what it's like to roll or crawl while shooting, to have to shoot back without aiming and disable those who are trying to kill you.

Does Point Shooting/Quick Kill work?

I'm still here,
still posting

It has worked for me.

Re: Victim Selection
Great info in this thread.

Handguns are a skill; shotguns an art; rifles a science.
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner.

Disarmament is the precursor to Genocide.

Better to take action now rather than chances later. Your choice.

Re: Victim Selection
I'd prefer few people know Point Shooting/Quick Kill techniques.
It works with rifles & shotguns also.

Aome I've known got good enough to hit birds on the wing with a .22 Ruger. Without using sights.

I worry stupid gang members might learn how to handle a gun.

Better they hold it sideways like in the movies.
