Good point! Who gets Raptured first, men or women? Didn't the BIble always give MEN a much higher standing than women? Any particular race will be Raptured first?

Will ufo's be able to capture people as they are rising into the air? If ufo's really are demonic, it seems they could thwart God's will by capturing people as they are Raptured, and keep them captive in some dismal place like Detroit!

What if the Rapture happens when I am sitting on the toilet? What if I am making love with my wife? It would be embarrassing in both situations to be floated up to a cloud! What if it is raining? Should we keep umbrella's with us at all times, just in case? If I am driving my car, it seems really inconsiderate of God to Rapture me, since the car could crash into a child or kill someone's golden retriever! Wouldn't it be better if God gave everyone a 24 hour warning, so they could wrap up business, go to the bathroom, catch up on their favorite TV shows by watching episodes they missed on the internet?

I also don't understand how it will work. Earth is a globe, not a pancake. So if Jesus appears in the clouds over Los Angeles, no one in Bombay will see it. In fact, it would be night time there. Does this mean that when the Rapture comes, some of us will be floating up into the night sky? That will be scary? What about passing jet traffic? I live near one of the busiest airports in the USA! They say geese and other birds can get caught in a jet's engines, what about people in the Rapture? What happens to people who float up into the clouds but get sucked into a jet's engines? The jet would crash to the ground with the Raptured person slashed to pieces in the engine. Has Jesus made allowances for our high technology?

Since the earth is a globe, will all the raptured people form a sort of ring around the earth, like the ring around Saturn? Or will everyone just float around like satellites? What about satellites? Will people float that high up that they might crash into a satellite? Then there is the space station! Will we be raptured BELOW the space station so they could film the people below? Or will we be raptured above it? If so, how will we breath? Will we have oxygen tanks? This is really confusing, since the Bible was written by primitive people 2000 years ago who thought the earth was just a cookie sheet and not much bigger than the middle east. They believed that heaven was literally above earth, and that star light was little holes in heaven where the light of heaven peaked out at Earth. They thought the blue sky was a layer of water between the earth and heaven. So it made sense in that context for Jesus to sort of come through a trapdoor in the bottom of heaven and float down to the sky above earth and gather people. But now we know that the earth is a globe, that there is just the vacuum of space above earth, and that our nearest destination would be the space station, and then the moon.

I just don't get the Rapture. What if my wife has a baby just moments before the Rapture. The baby won't be baptized so will my wife float to the clouds while the baby is left on earth? Or will the newborn baby still with the embilical cord attached to my wife float up with her? What about people working in mines? How will they get to the surface? It seems like they'd hit their head a lot before actually floating out into space. Will we float through solid matter?

Hey, if God does not let me bring my loving innocent beautiful faithful golden retriever, I ain't going! This Rapture thing is very prejudiced to people, when there are a lot of animals on Earth that are more pure than most people could ever be. My golden retriever is a saint, but I cannot picture him wearing linen and riding a flying horse! But I could never in good conscience leave him here to face horrors while I just flipping flit away like Peter Pan.

The Spirit of the Lord does not testify to the validity of the pre-tribulation "rapture". It is totally unscriptural; manipulative, and it takes all of the life from the gospel. It makes Satan the victor where Jesus has to take Christians out of the world instead of allowing them to overcome it. It robs the people of God the riches of the prophetic promises of the Davidic Kingdom, the throne of David in which Jesus comes to take possession of, it relegates the fall of Mystery Babylon the Great to some mis-understood confederation of Nations and not the Secret NWO. It is satanic doctrine based upon the fear of suffering and not the spirit of the Living God.

There is no spiritual witness to this false doctrine and that is why it has no power to convert or to save.

I had a dream about 25 years ago that, now many years later, could be coming true.

Dream: I was in my room and suddenly became aware that the rapture was about to take place. I was OVERJOYED but time was so short there was nothing more I could do to spread the gospel. that is, I was the only one home! Couldn't tell another soul about Jesus or that the Rapture was at hand.
So, I ran out into the street and was so happy I began to jump up and down, up and down looking at the sky with the biggest smile on my face possible. Again, no one was around to tell. Suddenly I was caught up in the air. I was moving higher and higher. And, here is the amazing part and how I know it was from God... As I ascended toward heaven my body was changed. The higher I was lifted into the sky the more and more my body turned into rock. Yes, rock. I was still as flexible and light as I always was but was no longer fragile. I was moving through the sky and then through the Solar System. Past each planet one by one knowing I was heading just beyond the Universe. I understood that nothing in the created realm [rain, wind, snow, freezing weather, heat, etc.] could ever injure me. My body was now truly stronger than all these things. It was such a powerful experience that I know that it was not from my natural mind. It was too powerful, too clear, too amazing for me to do by myself.
Now here is the interesting thing. I've never been a big believer in the physical rapture. I grew up in a church that never discussed it. When I read the Scripture "and they shall be caught up in the air with Jesus" I always interpreted that spiritually, not physically. It is only now that I can even imagine a physical rapture.
How does this relate to my life now? I'm nestled in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains. People here believe in Jesus and go to church. I don't feel like there are many people here to introduce the gospel to so I'm kinda like in that dream where there is noone really to tell... I'm just watching and waiting for Jesus!

Stop the judgment crap! This is so typically fundamentalist CHristian, judge, judge, judge. I ask very practical obvious questions as someone who was not taught this Rapture stuff. Some of the questions only seem silly because the Rapture belief is silly! It bespeaks a world view that is patently false! We are not living on a flat pancake, but on a globe. Heaven is not literally over our heads, so Jesus would not descend "from heaven" seemingly through a trap door in the basement of heaven. Flying horses? Of course, in Biblical time the most efficient means of transportation was a horse, so they envisioned the last battles and Jesus coming with horses. That seems pretty silly now. What if the Bible had used camels, would you see what I mean? Every question I ask is a practical matter that arises from accepting the Rapture as a literal event on the Earth globe int the 21st century, when it was intended for a very limited world view of the ancient past.

If the Rapture is supposed to take all Christians of faith, who are all these Christians left behind to be killed. By definition, they aren't Christians. So there again the logic fails.

If the Rapture is supposed to take all Christians of faith, who are all these Christians left behind to be killed. By definition, they aren't Christians. So there again the logic fails.

Afterwards, some will recognize what has truly happened. They will only then believe.
And they will be of such faith that they will willingly lose their heads rather than denounce.
Or perhaps some will persevere until His Coming.
