At times little bits of bold, first & all cap words help draw the readers attention aiding communication. Especially in a busy forum like this where users quickly scroll through vast amounts of text. i.e. An Earthquake and the Emergenge of an Epidemic on Exactly the same day added Emphasis to the MOST significant day. I also use it in order to emphasize quotes and quotations. But, that is my own rule. I don't know if there is a linguistic or diction justification for the usage. |
