I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with this. I have been getting conflicting information that David Hamels devices used Aluminum for the cones, but other sources have mentioned stainless steel. My own feelings tell me that pure iron would work best.
Does anyone have the answer to this? Thanks.

I don't know that it would matter. I'm not familiar with the machine, but I'd imagine Iron would magnetize which I would assume would pose problems for this machine. I would think that aluminum being lighter, and I think smoother would be best. |
